Mckenzie holds a bachelor’s in children’s ministry and is completing her MDiv in Clinical Counselling at Tyndale University. She spent a few years in the workforce before feeling a call to Counselling. Her passion for supporting other people began as a Financial Advisor, listening empathetically to people’s stories and walking alongside them. Her passion for helping others grew as she walked alongside her clients and helped them get out of debt, learn how to invest, and better their lives. This desire grew as a PSW Coordinator, through getting to know her client’s families and her PSW’s, hearing their stories, laughing with them, crying with them, and meeting their needs to the best of her abilities. Mckenzie has always been passionate about listening to others and helping them work through their pain, and she desires to journey alongside others in that process. She is excited to work alongside an amazing group of likeminded individuals in the mental health profession and grow as a future clinician.
In her free time, Mckenzie is a single mom to a 1.5-year-old boy. She spends most of her time going on walks to the park and playing with him. Outside of that, Mckenzie enjoys the gym, spending time with her friends, and music.
